What do your idle GPUs cost?
A GPU that isn't working still costs its hardware and its power. Enter your numbers to see what idle time costs you each month, and what raising utilization would save. No account needed - the result is a link you can share.
Idle GPUs cost you about
5,728 USD / month
68,738 USD a year
- Idle GPU-hours a month
- 3,796
- Hardware paid for while idle
- 5,694 USD
- Power drawn while idle
- 34.16 USD (228 kWh)
At your target utilization, the same work needs 4.7 GPUs
3,672 USD / month saved
44,063 USD a year, from 3.3 GPUs you could stop paying for or reuse.

How this is worked out
- A month is 730 hours. Idle GPU-hours are GPUs x 730 x (100% - average utilization).
- Idle cost is each idle GPU-hour's hardware cost, plus its idle power x your electricity price.
- Doing the same work at the target utilization takes GPUs x today's utilization / target GPUs. The rest are freed, and saving is what they cost: hardware plus idle power, around the clock.
- This is an estimate from the numbers you enter. Vexo measures the real figures on your own machines - utilization per GPU, idle time and its cost.
